Información

La formación con la que King Crimson vuelve a grabar, casi diez años después, es la llamada "Doble Trío", con dos guitarras (Fripp y Belew), dos bajos (Levin y Gunn) y dos percusionistas (Bruford y Mastelotto).
A partir de aquí comienzan las "FraKctalizaciones" de los ProjeKct, en las que dos o más músicos del sexteto investigan por separado nuevos caminos para alimentar al Rey, tocando en directo y grabando abundante material, parte del cuál tendrá cabida en posteriores trabajos del grupo.

El nacimiento de una banda sin igual

Aunque es el primer álbum oficial de la banda, King Crimson ya tenía material grabado desde 1967, al menos parte de los músicos que después participaron en las primeras formaciones.
Éstos eran los hermanos Giles (Michael & Pete) y Robert Fripp, que bajo el nombre Giles, Giles & Fripp publicaron "The Cheerful Insanity of Giles, Giles & Fripp". 
Recientemente se ha publicado más material de aquella antigua formación, bajo el nombre "The Brandesbury Tapes", que contiene muchos de los temas del Insanity, más otros que son versiones o material raro.
Sobre In The Court... ¿qué se puede comentar? Para mí es el mejor álbum de la historia del rock progresivo, y por tanto, de la historia de la música moderna.
