A veces la elegancia va contra la fuerza

Estoy escuchando... ProjeKct Three - Live in Austin (1999)

Mientras escribo este post, el Media Player (tengo recién formateado el ordenador y aún no instalé Winamp, fallo grave...) hace sonar el Live in Austin, TX, de ProjeKct Three.

Tenía noticias de este disco, su contenido, la formación, y por supuesto los temas me son conocidos de otros álbumes. Pero hoy he podido al fin tenerlo y lo disfruto por primera vez.

Los ProjeKct Three no tienen mucho material, apenas más que versiones del álbum "Masque" y temas que, o bien son de ProjeKct Two originalmente (Sus-tayn-Z, X-chain-jiZ, Hindu Fizz), o bien podrían considerarse Crimsonianos, por aparecer en el álbum "Heavy ConstruKction" (Heavy ConstruKction, Light ConstruKction, CCCCCCs, ProjeKction). Pero aún así este Cd es cuanto menos fascinante. Suenan a jazz, a un jazz progresivo y experimental, tan peculiarmente esquizoide como lo es el rock progresivo de King Crimson. Es un deleite escuchar los bajos (realmente la touch guitar de Trey Gunn) y la percusión y artilugios que usa Mastelotto, junto con la guitarra no siempre presente de Fripp.

Muy recomendable para todos los que sean capaces de digerir este tipo de música densa, inquietante y sólo a veces melódica.
